OBITUARY

Larry Carruth, age 75, of Sulligent, AL, passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2025 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, MS.  Private family memorial services will be held at a later date.

Larry was born on March 1, 1950 in Sulligent, AL to the late Cecil Carruth and the late Robbie O'Mary Carruth.  He was a 1968 graduate of Sulligent High School.  Larry was very athletic in school and played in all sports, earning his distinguished membership in the Lamar County Sports Hall of Fame.  He owned and operated Carruth Trucking, Inc.  Larry was a proud and faithful member of Sulligent First Baptist Church, having served as a Deacon.  He enjoyed being outdoors, especially going hunting.  His family meant everything to him and he left a strong and honorable legacy to be lovingly remembered and cherished.
