Laverne A. Raine, age 70, of Weaver, AL, formerly of Sulligent, AL passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at Northeast AL Regional Medical Center in Anniston, AL.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 2:00pm at People's Tabernacle Church in Sulligent, AL with burial to follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.  Bro. Phillip Blaylock to officiate.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, June 10, 2022 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.  Lunch will be provided at the church prior to the funeral service at 11:30am.

Laverne was born on October 27, 1951 in Moline, IL to the late Leonard Albert Blaylock and the late Ruby Virginia Tucker.  She graduated from Moline High School.  Laverne worked as a CNA for over 15 years. She loved watching Golden Girls, sewing, and playing cards with kids.  She was a member of People's Tabernacle Church.
