Obituary

Lecial Eugene Hollis, age 83, of Greenwood Springs, MS, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at NMMC-Gilmore in Amory, MS.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 11:00am from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Furnace Hill Cemetery.  Bro. Keith Rhudy to officiate.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, March 22, 2024 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Gideon's International, P.O. Box 140800, Nashville, TN 37214.

Lecial was born on May 26, 1940 in Lamar County, AL to the late Abner Hollis and the late Bessie Wofford Hollis.  He attended Lamar County High School and later joined and honorably served in the U.S. Air Force. Lecial was previously employed at Vernon Milling, Butler Company and as a Terra First Company Pilot.  He was a strong family man, very faithful in his Christian beliefs, and was very active in the local Gideon's and the Lamar Baptist Association. Lecial was a proud member of Academy Baptist Church in Vernon, AL, where he also served as Deacon.

Daughter: Rynn Hollis Hendricks (Justin), Peachtree City, GA

Stepson: Donnie Isbell (Linda), Greenwood Springs, MS

Stepdaughter: Debbie Walden, Greenwood Springs, MS

Sisters: Jewel Stark, Sulligent, AL

Dorotha Turner, Sulligent, AL

Grandchildren: Ashley Hollis, Sophie Hollis, Shepherd Hollis,

Benjamin Hendricks, Matthew Hendricks, John Hendricks

Great Grandchildren: Nevaeh Hollingsworth and Kyrstin Hollingsworth
