Luther Williams, age 82, of Tacoma, WA, formerly of Lamar Co., AL, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at his residence.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 1:00pm from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with Military Graveside Honors and burial to follow in New Church Cemetery.  Bro. Bill Marchbanks to officiate.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the funeral service from 12:00pm until 1:00pm.

Luther was born on September 23, 1940 in Detroit, AL to the late Statewright Williams and the late Leathia Philips Williams. He was a graduate of Lamar County Training School.  Luther later joined the US Army where he retired after 22 years of service.  He enjoyed fishing, listening to the oldies, especially Blues music and conducting military discussions.  He was a member of Allman Chapel CME.
