Ruth Gann, age 81, of Detroit, AL, passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at NMMC in Tupelo, MS.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at 12:00pm at Detroit Church of God with burial to follow in Kingsville Cemetery.  The body will lie in state at the church prior to service from 11:00am until 12:00pm.  Bro. Aaron Gann to officiate.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at Otts Funeral Home from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.

Ruth was born on March 8, 1942 in Sulligent, AL to the late Grady Herron and the late Alma Harper Herron.  She was a 1960 graduate of Sulligent High School.  Ruth previously worked for Detroit Slacks, Hamilton Bathware, Fairway Mobile Homes, and as a school bus driver for Lamar County, AL.  She loved flowers and going to Gospel Singings.  Ruth was a faithful member of Detroit Church of God.  She was a devoted wife and mother and loved spending time with her family.  Her loving spirit will always be cherished and forever missed.
