Margaret Foster Freeman, age 85, of Vernon, AL, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2024 at Fayette Medical Center Long Term Care in Fayette, AL.  Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 24, 2024 at 3:00pm at Vernon First Freewill Baptist Church with burial to follow in Union Chapel Freewill Baptist Cemetery in Crossville, AL.  Visitation will be held at the church prior to the funeral service from 2:00pm until 3:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Eldridge Children's Home, 86 Academy Drive, Eldridge, AL  35554 or to the Trinity Freewill Baptist Youth Camp, 1835 Co. Hwy 3, Guin, AL  35563.

Margaret was born on July 12, 1938 in Kennedy, AL to the late Grady Wilson Foster and the late Lalah Kate Hughes Foster.  She was a 1956 graduate of Kennedy High School.  Margaret previously worked as a Data Control Clerk at United Technology in Columbus, MS.  She enjoyed sewing and loved to take care of her grandchildren which she adored.  Margaret's kind and beautiful spirit will always be cherished and greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.  She was a member of Vernon First Freewill Baptist Church.
