Marilyn June Mixon, age 72, of Tuscaloosa, AL, formerly of Beaverton, AL, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 23, 2026 at Hunter Creek Health and Rehab in Northport, AL. The family is honoring Marilyn's wishes to be cremated and no memorial services to be held.

Marilyn was born on June 27, 1954 to the late Jerry Thomas Mixon and the late Julia Dean Roden Mixon.  Marilyn was the Matriarch of the 1972 graduating class of Sulligent High School, where she exemplified her talented skills through organizing many fun and exciting class reunions throughout 50 years.  Her classmates will truly miss her presence.

Shortly after graduating high school, she made her way to Tuscaloosa where she worked and retired from JVC Corporation, made many friends, and enjoyed cheering for the Crimson Tide.  While living in Tuscaloosa, she attended Circlewood Baptist Church, although she was a member of Mt. Hebron Methodist Church, Beaverton, AL. Marilyn was a wonderful daughter, supportive sister, and a friend of all.
