Mary Magdalene Hackman, age 81, of Vernon, AL, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at 11:00am at Celebration Worship Center with burial to follow in the Hollis Family Cemetery in Vernon, AL.  Bro. James Godsey to officiate.  Visitation will be held on Monday, March 21, 2022 in the Otts Funeral Home Chapel from 5:00pm until 7:00pm.

Mary Hackman was born on April 7, 1940 in Lamar County, AL to the late Willie Rogers Ruffin.  She retired from Chromalox.  She also worked at the nursing home and was a private in-home caregiver.  She was an active member at Celebration Worship Center in Crossville, AL.  Mary enjoyed working in her flower garden, cooking, spending time with her friends and family, and quilting.  Most of all she loved reading her Bible and sharing the Word.
