Mary Weeks McClendon, age 89, of Beaverton, AL passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at her residence. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at 2:00pm, from the Beaverton United Methodist Church, the body will lie in state at the church, from 1:00pm until service time at 2:00pm. Burial will follow in the Beaverton Cemetery. Pastor Frankie Jones and Bro. David Sullivan to officiate the services. Visitation will be held at Otts Funeral Home on Monday, September 12, 2022 from 6:00 pm until 8pm.  In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Beaverton Methodist Church.

Mary Leona Weeks McClendon was born on November 24, 1932, in Crews, AL to the late Bryan Weeks and the late Lela Lou Collier Weeks. She was a 1952 graduate of Sulligent High School. Mary was a graduate of Athens College, Athens, AL., and taught elementary school for 31 years. She was a member of the Beaverton United Methodist Church. She enjoyed sewing and gardening. Mary also enjoyed quilting and the fellowship she had with The Beaverton Quilting Ladies. She also enjoyed her Sunday lunch buddies. Mary will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
