Michael Gay "Buddy" Lucas, age 75, of Hamilton AL, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2025, in Vernon, AL. Private Family services will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025 from the Liberty Missionary Baptist Church with burial in the adjoining cemetery. Bro. Tim Harris, officiating.

Michael Gay known to many as "Buddy" Lucas was born on August 15, 1949, in Lamar County Alabama, to the late Auther Lee Lucas and the late Shalar Bolin Lucas. He attended Sulligent Schools. Mr. Lucas worked and retired from NACCO in Sulligent, AL. Buddy enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid outdoorsman. He was a member of the Liberty Missionary Baptist Church in Detroit, AL. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
