Michael Alan Pennington, age 63, of Vernon, AL, passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2024 at his residence.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 23, 2024 at 11:00am from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Huntsville Memory Gardens in Huntsville, AL.  Reverend Willie James Ivory, Sr. to officiate.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the funeral service from 10:00am until 11:00am.

Michael was born on September 24, 1960 in Vernon, AL to the late Riley Pennington and Isabella Ruffin Pennington.  He graduated from Lamar County High School and later received a Bachelor's Degree in Business from UNA with a Minor in Math. Michael was previously employed with Hyster for 17 years.  He really loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing or just riding around in his vehicle looking at nature.   He liked to work on things and enjoyed reading.  Michael was also an avid Alabama fan and loved watching football and basketball games.  He loved his family dearly and cherished spending time with them and making memories with his grandchildren which he adored.  His loving spirit will forever be remembered and greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
