Michael Joseph Wood, age 42, of West Blocton, AL, passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 in Jasper, AL.  The family has chosen cremation and no memorial services will be held at this time.

Michael was born on July 23, 1983 in Tuscaloosa, AL to the late Teresa Darlene Wood.  He was a graduate of West Blocton High School.  Michael was employed at Farley Marble & Granite in McCalla, AL and Randy Smalley Floor and Tile LLC in Northport, AL.  He was known to be an avid Alabama football fan.  He loved is family dearly and cherished spending time with his granddaughter, Nevaeh.  His loving spirit will always be remembered and greatly missed.
