Mildred Otts Stone, age 87, of Sulligent, AL, passed away on Friday, September 29, 2023 at her daughter's residence in Vernon, AL.  Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 8, 2023 at 2:00pm from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in New Prospect Cemetery.  Bro. Jeff Chaffin to officiate.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the funeral service from 1:00pm until 2:00pm.

Mildred was born on February 8, 1936 in Lamar County, AL to the late Dudley Belmont Otts and the late Annie Ruth Clark Otts.  She attended Sulligent School.  Mildred previously co-owned Christine's Fabrics, specializing in country curtains, comforters and quilts.  She had also worked for Fines Department Store, Reltoc, McCoy Manufacturing, and Health-Tex.  Mildred was very passionate about her sewing, which was easily seen in the beauty of her work.  She was a member of New Prospect Primitive Baptist Church.  Mildred was dearly loved by her family and her loving smile and compassionate heart will always be cherished.
