Morris Walker, age 68, of Vernon, AL, passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at his residence.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 2:00pm from the Celebration Worship Center Church, in Vernon, AL. with burial to follow in the adjoining cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 12:00pm until service time at 2:00pm. Pastor James Godsey to officiate the services.

Morris Wayne Walker was born October 16, 1955 in Mobile County Alabama to the late Wade Buckley and the late Virginia Fuller. Morris attended Satsuma School in Mobile County Alabama. He owned and operated Walker Logging Company for23 years. Morris enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading his bible, and sitting on his porch drinking coffee. He loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them. He especially enjoyed playing with his grandchildren. Morris was loved by many and a friend to all. Morris was member of Celebration Worship Center for 30 years. He loved his church family and loved helping others. Morris was a pillar of the community and his church and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
