Patrick R. Box, age 51, of Vernon, AL passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, MS.  Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 28, 2021 at 4:00 pm from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow in the Sulligent City Cemetery, Pastor Jerry Oakes to officiate. Visitation will be held from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel, on Sunday from 3:00 pm until service time at 4:00 pm.

Patrick Ryan Box was born June 26, 1970 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, MS to the late Pastor Gene Box of Sulligent, AL and Shelia Delphine Woods Box of Vernon, AL. Patrick was a 1988 graduate of Hamilton High School, Hamilton, AL. He was very patriotic, serving in the United States Airforce, and was a veteran of Desert Storm. Patrick gave his heart to the Lord at a very young age during youth camp in Clanton, AL. He served as a youth minister for several years. Patrick enjoyed night fishing with the men's church group. He was also very talented, an accomplished musician and composer on both keyboard and guitar. He enjoyed collecting guitars. Patrick was a devoted football fan, his favorite college team being Alabama Crimson Tide and NFL, the Carolina Panthers. Patrick's children and family were second only to Jesus, in his heart. He cannot come back to us, but we can live in a way that "Because of Jesus" we can go to him.
