Phyllis Woods Lucas, age 73, of Sulligent, AL, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at Northwest Medical Center in Winfield, AL.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at 11:00am from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Fellowship Cemetery in Vernon, AL.  Bro. Matthew Cook to officiate.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.

Phyllis was born on November 7, 1951 in Birmingham, AL to the late William Woods and the late Jessie Woolbright Woods.  She was a 1970 graduate of Sulligent High School and later graduated from Brewer State Junior College with a degree in Business.  Phyllis previously worked and retired after 16 years as the Business Office Manager at Generations of Vernon. She thoroughly enjoyed gardening, crocheting, watching racing and her favorite football team, the Alabama Crimson Tide and loved taking care of her precious animals, Daisy and Rebel.  She loved and adored her family, especially making memories with her grandchildren.  Her beautiful and bright spirit will always be cherished and greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.  Phyllis was a member of Shiloh North Methodist Church.
