Obituary

Ms. Rachel Warren Hankins, age 77, of Sulligent, AL, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, MS.  Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 7, 2024 at 2:00pm from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.  Bro. William Kirkman, Bro. Alan Kirkman and Bro. Philip Blaylock to officiate.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the funeral service from 1:00pm until 2:00pm.

Rachel was born on September 16, 1946 in Lamar County, AL to the late Joe Warren and the late Katie Bell Pitts Warren.  She passed away on her 59th wedding anniversary to her beloved husband in heaven, Charles Hankins.  Rachel graduated from Sulligent Schools and was active in the Beta Club in high school. She enjoyed many beautiful things, like flowers and her garden, reading her Bible and prayer journal daily. Rachel dearly loved her family and church family and friends. She was also very lovingly fond of her new great grandson, John.   Her bright smile, joyful spirit, and unconditional love for others, will always be cherished and greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
