Randy Eugene Carter, age 63, of Sulligent, AL, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at his residence.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at 2:00pm from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Gilmer Addition of Sulligent City Cemetery.  Bro. Jason Ives to officiate.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the funeral service from 1:00pm until 2:00pm.

Randy was born on March 22, 1962 in Vernon, AL to the late Major "Eugene" Carter and the late Mabeline Rhudy Carter.  He was a 1980 graduate of Sulligent High School.  Randy previously worked for Carter Logging.  He always enjoyed being outdoors, especially fishing and camping.  Randy also liked riding horses and shoeing them.  His family meant everything to him and the time he spent with them was what he cherished the most.  He had a humble heart and gentle spirit that will always be fondly remembered by all who loved and knew him.
