OBITUARY

Randy Clavette, age 66, of Beaverton, AL, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 15, 2023 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS after a 16 year battle with COPD.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at 2:00pm from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Love Joy Cemetery.  Bro. Matthew Paul to officiate.  Visitation will be held in the Otts Funeral Home Parlor on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.

Randy was born on November 10, 1956 in Hartford, Connecticut to the late Patrick and Caroline Clavette.  He grew up in a very tight knit community in East Hartford.  He attended high school in East Hartford and later graduated from CPI in East Hartford, CT. In 1985 he married the love of his life, Romona Markham, with which he had two children, Jeremy and Jacqueline.  They were the light of his life.  In 2000 the family relocated to Beaverton, AL leaving behind the hustle and bustle of New England for the more peaceful Beaverton.

Though an electronics technician by trade, Randy worked at any job he could find once relocating to Alabama, his last job being at Continental Conveyor in Winfield.  In 2007 Randy was diagnosed with COPD and was unable to return to the workforce.  He loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending any time he could with them.  Randy attended Love Joy Freewill Baptist Church.
