Rita Taylor, age 78, of Vernon, AL, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2023 at the residence. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at 1:00pm from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Wofford Cemetery. Bro. James Godsey to officiate the services. Visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the funeral services on Wednesday, from 12:00pm until service time at 1:00pm.

Mrs. Rita Patterson Taylor was born on June 1, 1945 in Missouri to the late Reveals Patterson and the late Juanita Kelley. She was a graduate of Sulligent High School. Rita worked as the chief clerk for the Lamar County Commissioners office for 50 years. She was a member of the First Assembly of God in Sulligent, AL. Rita enjoyed cooking and she loved her cats. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
