Roy Thomas, age 73, of Sulligent, AL, passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at the residence. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 11, 2026 at 2:00pm from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Wofford Cemetery.  Bro. Philip Blaylock to officiate.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the funeral service from 1:00pm until 2:00pm.

Roy was born on September 24, 1952 in Vernon, AL to the late George Thomas and the late Della Benefield Thomas.  He was a 1972 graduate of Lamar County High School.  Roy honorably served in the AL Army National Guard for 32 years.  He was a proud foster parent for 22 years and actively involved in Second Time Around at ARC in Fayette for 20 years.  Roy enjoyed watching football and westerns.  He was a very humble and loving person, always giving of his time to help anyone in need.  His bright spirit and caring heart will forever be cherished and greatly missed.  Roy was a member of People's Tabernacle in Sulligent, AL.
