Ryan Fowler, age 44, of Sulligent, AL passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at his residence.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 31, 2021 at 2:00pm from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Gilmer Addition of Sulligent City Cemetery.  Bro. Jeff Chaffin to officiate.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the funeral service from 1:00pm until 2:00pm.

Ryan was born on October 31, 1977 in Amory, MS to Kenneth Douglas Fowler and Lucy Darnell Nethery.  He was a 1996 graduate of Sulligent High School and a later graduate of Bevill State Community College.  Ryan previously worked at Pizza Doctor in Sulligent, AL at Sitel in Hamilton, AL and in the security department at Target in Texas.  He played in the Jazz Band at Bevill.  He could play many instruments, but his favorite to play was lead guitar.  Ryan enjoyed making music with his friends, writing songs and music, building guitars, reading, cooking, playing video games, and training his dog, Ozzy.  He loved spending time with his family and friends.

Ryan always had a positive attitude and never complained.  He enjoyed talking to people and making them laugh.  Ryan never met a stranger and always looked for the good in everyone.  He brought out the best in people and made them feel loved.
