Sandra Marie Carr, age 73, of Fayette, AL, passed away on Monday, May 19, 2025 at her residence. The family has chosen cremation and there are no memorial services to be held at this time.

Sandra was born on November 18, 1951 in Fayette Co., AL to the late Robert S. Hawkins and the late Bessie Lee South Hawkins.  She was a 1970 graduate of Fayette County High School and later attended Walker College for two years before finally receiving her Master's from the University of Alabama.  Sandra previously worked for the Fayette Co. DHR and retired after many dedicated years of service from the State of Alabama DHR.  She enjoyed reading books and loved to go skiing.  Her beautiful memory will always be cherished by her family and friends.
