Shirley Irene Demmien, age 88, of Starkville, MS, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at Starkville Manor Health Care and Rehabilitation in Starkville, MS. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2026 at 11:00am from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Furnace Hill Cemetery. Pastor James Godsey to officiate. Visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the funeral services from 10:00am until 11:00am.

Shirley was born on May 22, 1938 in Lock Haven, PA to the late George A. Fox, Jr. and the late Agnes Dullen. She attended Celebration Worship Center where she loved the fellowship of her church family. Shirley enjoyed crocheting, working puzzles and watching the Young and the Restless. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her precious grands and great grandchildren which she adored. Her loving and tender memory will forever be cherished by all those who loved and knew her.
