Stephen D. Hood, age 57, of Pontiac, IL, formerly of Lamar County, AL passed away Monday, April 12, 2021 at 3:10pm in Bloomington, IL surrounded by his family.  Memorial services will be held on Friday, April 30, 2021 at 3:00pm from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with inurnment to follow in Wofford Cemetery in Vernon, AL.  Bro. Paul Barham to officiate.

Memorials in Stephen's name may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or to the family.

Stephen was born on June 13, 1963 in Rock Island, IL to Melvin Kelly Hood and Mattie O. Howard Hood. He married Jeanne Grossell and later married Tammie Carter.  Stephen was employed by Georgia-Pacific paper company.  He enjoyed music, attending church, singing karaoke, going to garage sales, trading cars and spending time with his family.
