Teressa Marie Benefield, age 69, of Vernon, AL passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at her residence.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 2:00pm from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Wofford Cemetery.  Minister Ricky McGee to officiate.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the funeral service from 1:00pm until 2:00pm.

Teressa was born on July 15, 1952 in Memphis, TN to the late Harold Joseph and the late Annel Hamlin.  She was a graduate of Memphis Tech High School.  Teressa was married to Steve Benefield on May 17, 1975. She previously worked as a caregiver, Generations of Vernon, Chromalox, and in her teen years, worked at Princess Town Theatre where she met Elvis Presley on several occasions.  Teressa enjoyed working in flowers, quilting, and loved her grandchildren.
