Thomas Wayne "Gooch" Cantrell, age 59, of Sulligent, AL, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at his residence.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026 at 5:00pm from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with graveside services and burial to follow in the Gilmer Addition of Sulligent City Cemetery.  Bishop Thad Hawkins, Bro. Billy Marchbanks, and Mr. Tommy Blaylock to officiate. Visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the funeral service from 4:00pm until 5:00pm.

Gooch was born on August 8, 1967 in Palatka, FL to the late David Clarence Cantrell and the late Jewel Dean Cantrell.  He attended Hatley High School.  Gooch was employed at Bama Docks.  He enjoyed the outdoors, especially being on the water and going fishing and also loved to play pool.  He was humble and kind man who unconditionally loved and supported his family.  His loving memory will never be forgotten and forever cherished.  Gooch attended Sulligent Church of God.

Sister: Christy Stanford (Trae)

Grandchildren: 12
