Verla Ann O'Mary, age 70, of Vernon, AL, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2026 at her residence.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026 at 4:00pm from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Webb Cemetery.  Bro. James Godsey to officiate.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the funeral service from 3:00pm until 4:00pm.

Verla was born on September 18, 1955 in Guin, AL to the late Lester McGough and the late Geraldean Hayes McGough.  She was a Sulligent High School graduate.  Verla was employed as a dietary manager at Generations of Vernon, where she thoroughly enjoyed all of her precious residents and loved the daily interactions with them.  She loved eating out with her friends and cooking special dinners for her family and spending time making memories, especially her grandchildren and great grands.  Verla was also know to be an avid Alabama football fan. She always had a loving smile and joyful spirit that everyone loved to be around. Her beautiful memory will forever be cherished and greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.  Verla was a member of Celebration Worship Center in Vernon, AL and True Life Church in Caledonia, MS.

Great Grandchildren: Hudson O'Mary, Trenton O'Mary, and Briley Eynick
