Verla Ann Stephenson, age 78, of Vernon, AL passed away on Monday, August 8, 2022 at Generations of Vernon in Vernon, AL.  Memorial services will be held on Friday, August 12, 2022 at 2:00pm at Mt. Hebron Methodist Church with burial of cremains to follow in Mt. Hebron Cemetery.  Pastor Tom Ward to officiate.  Family will receive friends at the church from 12:00pm until 2:00pm.

Verla was born on November 12, 1943 in Lamar County, AL to the late Floyd White and the late Cora Carrouth.  She was a member of Mt. Hebron Methodist Church.  Verla loved cooking, fishing, reading, and talking and visiting with people.  She was also an avid Alabama and Auburn football fan and loved the Kentucky Derby.
