Virgie Iline "Granny Grump" McDill, age 83, of Caledonia, MS, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at The Windsor Place in Columbus, MS. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 29, 2026 at 3:00pm from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Rowan Cemetery in Lowndes Co., MS. Bro. Chris Stockman to officiate. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, March 28, 2026 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.

Virgie was born on June 6, 1942 in Pickens Co., AL to the late Morris McDill and the late Lorrine McDowell. She previously worked in the garment industry for Glenn Manufacturing. Virgie enjoyed making flower arrangements and liked sewing. Her family meant everything to her and she loved spending time with them, especially her grandchildren which she adored. Her bright personality and loving heart will forever be cherished and greatly missed by all who loved and knew her. Virgie was a member of Caledonia Church of Christ.
