Willie Guy Metcalfe, age 80, of Sulligent, AL passed away Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, MS.  Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 16, 2022 at 1:00pm from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial and graveside services to follow in Fairview Cemetery.  Bro. David LeSueur to officiate.  Visitation will be held in the Otts Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, January 15, 2022 from 5:00pm-7:00pm.  To keep everyone safe, the family has mandated that n95/kn95/kf94 masks be worn for the visitation and funeral services. If unable to get one, the family will provide them.

Willie was born on June 8, 1941 in Sulligent, AL to the late Guy Metcalfe and the late Laura Wallace.  He attended Todd High School and was a 1979 graduate of North AL State Technical College. He was married to Linda Jackson for almost 46 years. Willie retired from NACCO and served over 20 years in the Alabama Army National Guard, four of those as active duty in the U.S. Army.  He was a Deacon in his church at Roxanna Independent Church of God.  Willie enjoyed woodworking, and caring for Linda's beautiful garden and koi pond.
